GradTraders Broker Review

FxPro Review 2026: cTrader, TradingView, Costs And UK Spread Betting

FxPro earns 8.8/10 for genuine platform and account choice across international forex and CFD trading. MT4, MT5, cTrader, the FxPro app and direct TradingView integration serve different strategies, but not all through one interchangeable account. Its Standard, Raw+ and cTrader pricing structures are distinct; the TradingView connection uses a compatible cTrader account. For eligible UK residents, FxPro Edge spread betting is an additional, separate FCA-regulated route, not a worldwide feature of cTrader or TradingView. The strongest case for FxPro is finding a platform and pricing setup that genuinely fits your trading method while checking the regulated entity available in your country.

Quick Verdict: FxPro Earns 8.8/10

FxPro is a convincing international forex and CFD broker for traders who want more control over their trading setup. Its attraction isn’t simply a long list of platforms: it’s the ability to match the software, account pricing and instruments to a particular strategy. The choice is useful, but it takes more care than opening a one-size-fits-all trading account.

FxPro serves eligible clients through different regulated entities and account arrangements, so the experience is not identical worldwide. Financial spread betting through FxPro Edge is a separate option for qualifying UK residents; cTrader and its TradingView connection are CFD routes. I rate FxPro highly for flexibility, while recognising that specialist raw-pricing brokers or simpler platforms may be better for some traders.

What MattersFxPro In PracticeMy View
GradTraders Rating8.8/10A strong international forex and CFD broker whose flexibility is its biggest advantage.
Trading Focus2,100+ advertised CFD instruments across forex, indices, metals, shares and other eligible derivatives.Designed for active leveraged-market trading, not the direct ownership of global shares and ETFs.
Account ChoiceDifferent Standard, Raw+, cTrader and eligible regional account routes. The account’s all-in pricing, products and compatibility matter more than a minimum spread.
International AccessSeparate regulated group and partner entities, including UK and international routes; onboarding depends on residence.A genuine cross-border business, but not one worldwide account with identical leverage, protection or products.
Spread BettingFxPro Edge is available to eligible UK residents through a separate account.A worthwhile additional choice for some clients, not the defining feature of FxPro internationally.

Why FxPro Scores 8.8/10

What lifts FxPro above many ordinary CFD brokers is that it gives traders a genuine choice of how to work. You can build a MetaTrader-based system, use cTrader’s specialist trading tools or connect an eligible cTrader account to TradingView. Those aren’t three names for the same interface: they suit different styles and come with different account arrangements.

I give that flexibility considerable weight. I also like the choice between spread-inclusive and commission-based account pricing, although I’d want to see the complete cost of the instruments I trade before calling any route cheap. FxPro’s breadth is a strength; the number of decisions needed to choose the right account is the compromise.

FxPro is an international broker first. Its products, leverage, funding arrangements and protections depend on the regulated company accepting the client. The UK spread-betting option is a valuable local extra, not a service every overseas trader can use. Taken together, those strengths and limitations earn FxPro 8.8/10 in my broker comparison.

Where FxPro Fits In The GradTraders Broker Bank

Rather than comparing FxPro with every broker on the number of platforms advertised, I think it’s more useful to ask what type of trading account you’re actually looking for. The GradTraders 24-broker comparison and our deeper platform, cost and product-coverage comparisons show some important differences.

Broker / Trading ApproachWhy I Would Consider FxProWhy I Might Choose The Alternative
Pepperstone · 9.1/10
Multi-platform active trading
Its distinct cTrader, MetaTrader, TradingView and Standard/Raw+ workflows allow a very specific platform-and-account choice; FxPro Edge adds a separate UK spread-betting option.Pepperstone is my stronger all-round active-trader choice where its regulated entity, pricing and platform access fit. It also offers an eligible UK spread-betting route.
IC Markets · 9.2/10 / FP Markets · 9.0/10
Raw-pricing forex and CFDs
I may prefer FxPro’s particular cTrader or account structure, its separate UK FCA route, or its choice of spread and commission models. Both are especially relevant when spread-plus-commission costs and established active-trader platforms drive the decision. IC Markets also has the strongest direct-use experience within my current broker assessments.
Tickmill
Cost-focused forex and CFD trading
FxPro offers several distinct software workflows and the cTrader-to-TradingView connection, with a separate spread-betting route for eligible UK clients.Tickmill deserves comparison when the priority is a leaner, commission-sensitive forex strategy rather than maximising platform flexibility. Check the eligible account and instrument.
IG · 8.8/10 / CMC Markets · 8.7/10
Native platform and index-market depth
I would favour FxPro for cTrader, MetaTrader automation and portable third-party trading software, rather than committing most of my workflow to one proprietary platform.IG’s market breadth and research or CMC’s mature proprietary charts could be more useful for discretionary index and multi-market CFD trading. Spread betting is available on qualifying regional accounts.
City Index / StoneX Trading · 8.8/10 / Spreadex
Spread betting and indices
FxPro offers wider third-party software choice for CFDs, while keeping a dedicated Edge spread-betting account for eligible UK residents.A trader mainly interested in financial spread betting may prefer StoneX Trading’s TradingView/index setup or Spreadex’s more specialised approach, rather than maintaining separate FxPro accounts.
AvaTrade · 8.6/10
Options-style and copy/social tools
cTrader, MetaTrader automation and the connected TradingView route provide more natural tools for a self-directed active CFD strategy.AvaOptions and eligible social/copy tools serve a different purpose. AvaTrade’s account-country exclusions also need checking rather than treating it as a universally available substitute.
Interactive Brokers · 8.9/10 / Saxo · 8.6/10
Global investing and listed derivatives
For forex, indices and share-CFD speculation, I may not need the extra complexity of an exchange-connected investment account. If I want to own international securities, hold bonds or trade exchange-listed futures and options, IBKR or Saxo is a different and usually more relevant type of broker.
XTB · 8.5/10 / Plus500
Simple proprietary-platform trading
FxPro makes more sense for established MetaTrader strategies, cTrader algorithms and a trading setup I can carry between supported platforms.A trader who values a simpler application and doesn’t need specialist automated tools may find XTB or Plus500 more straightforward, subject to their available investing/CFD products.
FOREX.com · 8.5/10 / OANDA
Region-specific forex access
Where available, FxPro combines several widely used CFD platforms with different pricing choices and multi-currency funding.US retail forex clients need an appropriate locally regulated route; FxPro does not offer its advertised CFDs to US or Canadian residents. FOREX.com and OANDA have region-specific forex services, not an identical worldwide CFD account.

My assessment: FxPro is worth a place on an international active-trader shortlist when a particular platform, trading method and cost structure matter. But I wouldn’t choose it for long-term share ownership, a copy-trading feature I don’t use or a spread-betting account I cannot legally open. The real advantage is choice — provided that choice is useful for the strategy.

Platform Ecosystem: FxPro, cTrader, TradingView, MT4 And MT5

FxPro’s platform range is the centre of the review. The proprietary FxPro platform and app provide integrated account management and trading, while cTrader, MT4 and MT5 support more specialist workflows.

TradingView is a direct execution route when connected to a compatible FxPro cTrader account. FxPro’s current material describes 400+ built-in indicators, more than 100,000 community indicators and direct trading through the Trading Panel.

The important caveat is that a platform logo does not guarantee identical products or costs. Traders must choose the correct account type before connecting or downloading software.

Platform Choice

cTrader & TradingView

Modern charting, direct execution, depth tools and algorithmic capability.

Automation

MT4 & MT5

Established Expert Advisor, indicator and VPS workflows.

GradTraders Best Native Platform Choice: Plus500

United Kingdom

GradTraders does not promote broker services to UK customers unless the relevant UK entity is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Plus500UK Ltd (FRN 509909) is authorised and regulated by the FCA, and Plus500 is a firm we’re proud to partner with for our UK audience.

UK risk reminder: CFDs are leveraged products and can result in rapid losses. The provider-specific retail loss warning is displayed within the Plus500 banner above.

United States

For United States readers, Plus500 provides a separate futures service through Plus500US Financial Services LLC d/b/a Plus500, a Futures Commission Merchant registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and a member of the National Futures Association (NFA ID 0001398).

The US futures service is separate from the UK CFD service provided by Plus500UK Ltd.

US risk reminder: Futures and options involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for every investor. Losses may exceed the amount originally invested. Trading privileges are subject to review and approval.

cTrader And TradingView: FxPro’s Strongest Active-Trader Route

FxPro cTrader supports web, desktop and mobile use, depth-of-market information, technical indicators and cTrader’s algorithmic ecosystem. The platform covers forex, metals, energy, indices, futures and other supported CFDs.

TradingView compatibility is tied to FxPro cTrader account types. The connection is free from FxPro, although paid TradingView plans can add charting functionality.

Current Raw+ and cTrader pricing uses spreads from zero on eligible FX and metals, with commission of $3.50 per lot per side. Other instruments use floating spreads without the same commission structure.

This combination makes FxPro a serious cTrader and TradingView broker, but traders should compare average—not only minimum—spreads and the specific markets they trade.

Compatibility rule: open the correct cTrader account before trying to connect FxPro through TradingView. A spread-betting or unrelated platform account should not be assumed compatible.

MT4, MT5, Expert Advisors And VPS Suitability

FxPro supports MT4 and MT5 across desktop, web and mobile formats. These routes remain relevant for Expert Advisors, custom indicators, strategy testing and established forex workflows.

Standard MT4/MT5 accounts use marked-up floating spreads with no separate dealing commission. Raw+ accounts remove the FX and metals spread markup and charge $3.50 per lot per side.

FxPro also offers VIP benefits for qualifying high-value or high-volume clients, including potential spread and commission discounts and VPS access.

Automated traders should verify the exact symbol, historical data, execution rules, server location and VPS latency before deploying a live strategy.

UK Spread Betting Through FxPro Edge

FxPro’s official UK material describes financial spread betting for eligible UK-resident clients of FxPro UK Limited through FxPro Edge, a separate web-based platform and account route. UK residence and account eligibility are essential; it is not a universal FxPro service.

Current official material lists forex, shares, spot indices, spot metals and spot energy among the spread-betting categories. Spread betting uses a stake per point and is commission-free, with cost incorporated through the spread and any applicable overnight funding.

Critical account distinction: cTrader and the TradingView connection are eligible CFD routes, not substitutes for an FxPro Edge spread-betting account. Confirm current availability directly with FxPro UK before opening the account.

For qualifying UK individuals, financial spread-betting gains are generally not subject to UK Capital Gains Tax or Stamp Duty, but individual circumstances and law can differ or change. That is not personal tax advice; leveraged spread bets can lose money rapidly.

Spread-betting verdict: FxPro is unusually strong because it combines Edge spread betting with wider cTrader and TradingView expertise, but the account routes must remain clearly separated.

FxPro account routes compared: eligible UK FxPro Edge financial spread betting versus cTrader CFD and connected TradingView workflows, with distinct contracts.

FxPro Account And Trading-Cost Comparison

Platform choice changes the way a trader pays. FxPro’s current published comparison separates Standard, Raw+, cTrader and UK FxPro Edge spread-betting accounts. The table shows each route’s practical purpose rather than suggesting a minimum spread is the whole cost.

Account / Platform RouteTypical Published Pricing StructureBest Use And Important Limit
Standard — MT4 / MT5Floating spread with markup; FX majors advertised from 1.2 pips, without a separate dealing commissionEstablished MetaTrader, Expert Advisor and discretionary workflows. Overnight swaps and spreads still apply; products differ between MT4 and MT5.
Raw+ — MT4 / MT5FX spreads advertised from 0 pips plus $3.50 per lot per side on eligible FX/metals; other instruments may have different commission rulesFor active MetaTrader users evaluating spread-plus-commission costs. Compare the complete round trip and the actual instrument specification.
cTrader + compatible TradingViewLow FX/metals spreads plus $35 per US$1 million traded per side, converted as needed; other instruments can be spread-pricedDepth-of-market, cTrader automation and TradingView direct execution. Requires a compatible FxPro cTrader account; TradingView is not a separate spread-betting account.
Elite — eligible MT4 / MT5Raw+-style spreads and commissions, with rebates/perks subject to qualificationHigher-activity eligible clients should test the real rebate economics and eligibility, not assume an unconditional discount.
FxPro Edge — UK spread bettingSpread-based financial spread bets without separate dealing commission; financing can applyEligible UK residents through a distinct FxPro UK route. Not directly interchangeable with MT4/MT5 Raw+ or cTrader CFD accounts.

Current pricing evidence: See FxPro’s official account comparison and cTrader commission calculator. FxPro states $35 per US$1 million traded per side for cTrader; actual FX conversion and position notional determine the charge. Its Standard/Raw+ descriptions and contract-specific fees can differ by market or legal entity. Overnight swaps, slippage and financing remain relevant, and advertised spreads are not guaranteed averages.

My cost judgement: I would compare the executed spread at my normal trading time, both sides of any dealing commission, overnight financing and the account’s supported instruments before opening it. A five-platform offering is attractive only if the selected account fits the strategy.

Markets: Forex, Indices, Shares, Futures, Metals, Energy And ETFs

FxPro’s current platform comparison advertises more than 2,100 CFD assets. The wider product range covers forex, metals, spot and futures indices, energy, futures, shares, ETFs and cryptocurrencies where legally available.

These are derivative contracts rather than ownership of the underlying share, ETF, commodity or futures contract. FxPro’s own share material states that its offering is through CFDs.

Cryptocurrency CFDs are unavailable to retail clients of FxPro UK Ltd. International pages must therefore not be used to imply UK retail crypto access.

Product availability also varies by platform. The market list should be checked after selecting the account and software rather than before.

Product rule: confirm the instrument, legal entity and platform together. A market shown on a global page may not be available through a UK retail or spread-betting account.

Execution, Orders, Margin And Negative Balance Protection

FxPro describes no-dealing-desk intervention and market execution, with orders filled using volume-weighted average pricing where applicable. Execution can still involve positive or negative slippage.

The current help material lists a 50% stop-out level across account types, while cTrader applies Spotware’s Smart Stop Out logic.

FxPro states that negative-balance protection applies across clients, subject to its Order Execution Policy and good-faith conditions. This limits account deficit risk but does not prevent the deposited balance from being lost.

Retail leverage in the UK is constrained by regulation and product category. Professional clients can access different leverage but may waive important protections.

Execution rule: minimum spreads and fast-fill statistics do not guarantee an individual price. Check slippage, stop rules, market depth and margin before trading volatile instruments.

Funding, Withdrawals, Support And Account Reliability

FxPro states that deposits and withdrawals carry zero transaction fees from the broker. Accepted currencies currently include EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, JPY, PLN, AUD and ZAR, with availability depending on payment method and region.

FxPro advertises instant deposits and withdrawal processing during the working week. Banks and payment providers can still add fees, conversion costs or delays.

Support is available 24/5 through the broker’s contact routes. Service quality has not been independently tested by GradTraders for this update.

FxPro states that live accounts can be disabled after three months of inactivity and reactivated through support. This is operationally different from charging an inactivity fee.

Funding rule: use payment methods in your own name and verify the account entity, base currency and withdrawal route before depositing substantial funds.

International FxPro Entities: What Protection Applies?

FxPro’s platform and pricing range is international, but a licence held by one group company does not apply automatically to every client. Official FxPro licensing documents distinguish the UK entity from the Bahamas and Seychelles routes. The exact company in your client agreement determines permitted products, leverage, client-money safeguards and complaint mechanisms.

Example Jurisdiction / EntityOfficial Regulatory RoutePractical Account Check
United Kingdom — FxPro UK LimitedFinancial Conduct Authority, FRN 509956FCA retail CFD protections where applicable, eligibility for FSCS claims, and separate FxPro Edge spread betting for qualified UK clients.
Bahamas — FxPro Global Markets LimitedSecurities Commission of the Bahamas, licence SIA-F184Check Bahamas account terms, permitted instruments, margin, dispute process and applicable local safeguarding. UK FSCS protection cannot be assumed.
Seychelles — Invemonde Trading LtdSeychelles Financial Services Authority, licence SD120; official group material describes a partnership with FxPro Global Markets LtdVerify which company contracts with you and what client protections actually apply. UK retail leverage caps and compensation are not universal.
Other countries / restrictionsResidence and account onboarding determine available routeFxPro’s legal page lists the United States and Canada among locations where it does not offer CFDs. Confirm current residency eligibility and product availability directly.

The entities above are examples from FxPro’s official licences page, not a complete worldwide entity list or a recommendation to use a foreign account. Verify the relevant licence with the named regulator, and check current FxPro account documents before funding. CFDs are not available to US or Canadian residents through FxPro’s advertised offering.

FCA Regulation, Segregated Funds And UK Protection

FxPro UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 509956.

FxPro describes segregated client-money arrangements for qualifying clients. Eligible claims relating to the FCA-regulated UK business may fall within Financial Services Compensation Scheme rules, but the scheme is not deposit insurance or cover against normal market losses.

Eligible UK retail CFD clients receive applicable retail risk protections, including negative-balance protection. Professional reclassification can change safeguards and should not be treated as an automatic improvement.

Outside Britain, FxPro advertises companies with different regulatory arrangements, including the Bahamas and Seychelles. The FCA framework cannot simply be carried across to their accounts.

Protection verdict: The UK FCA route remains a substantive strength. Confirm the legal company, client classification and FSCS eligibility rather than generalising these safeguards to every FxPro client.

Further Broker Comparisons

If you’re choosing FxPro for cTrader or automation, our cTrader broker comparison provides a closer look at its main rivals. For the account economics, compare broker spreads, commissions and execution. If UK financial spread betting is the priority, the Spreadex review offers a useful specialist comparison; international readers can examine the regulatory and entity differences.

My View On FxPro

FxPro interests me because I can see the appeal to several different types of active trader without the broker pretending they all need the same account. Someone running MetaTrader strategies will make different demands from a cTrader user or a trader placing orders from TradingView. I like having those choices, but I would decide on the trading method first and the broker account second.

I would also compare FxPro’s international offering on its own merits. Multi-currency funding and 24/5 support are useful for traders in different time zones, while the local regulated entity determines leverage, products and protections. The UK spread-betting account is a welcome extra for those eligible; it isn’t the reason I’d recommend looking at FxPro from overseas.

My deciding factor would be the real cost of the markets I trade. Raw+ and cTrader can look attractive at first glance, but spreads, commissions, swaps and available instruments decide the outcome. If FxPro’s specific account suits the strategy, I’d put it firmly on the shortlist. If it doesn’t, I’d choose a broker with a simpler or more competitive setup rather than pay for flexibility I wouldn’t use.

Final Verdict: FxPro Earns 8.8/10

FxPro earns its 8.8/10 rating primarily through platform flexibility and well-developed active-trader account choices. MT4 and MT5 provide familiar automation routes, cTrader brings depth and algorithmic capability, and a compatible cTrader account also unlocks TradingView execution. The separate UK FxPro Edge spread-betting route adds a country-specific option for eligible traders.

The main compromise is account complexity rather than missing features. Standard spreads, Raw+ commissions, cTrader’s notional-based fees and Edge spread betting cannot be priced or accessed as if they were interchangeable. Trading costs, products and regulatory protection all depend on the exact account route.

The broker’s broad catalogue of CFDs and its ability to support several trading styles are valuable. Its international legal entities and regional restrictions matter equally: an FCA authorisation for FxPro UK Limited is not a worldwide consumer-protection promise, and FxPro does not offer its CFDs to residents of the United States or Canada.

GradTraders verdict: FxPro is a serious option for eligible traders who know which platform and account type they need. It is less convincing if all that choice would add unnecessary costs or confusion; compare actual total costs and local protections, not advertised minimums alone.
