REGULAR MARKET OPEN means the selected underlying/reference session is active. OUT-OF-HOURS TRADING means that regular session is not active, while derivative, CFD or broker-specific access may still be available; exact dealing hours, spreads and execution depend on the provider. CRYPTO 24/7 means the continuous crypto market-hours model is active. The live-price badge is separate and only describes whether the indicative data feed is updating.

Holiday closures and special sessions are hardcoded against the underlying market and carry a verified-through date. They are maintained separately from any live price feed.

The hours and holiday engine works without a market feed. Market Watch is an enhancement layer. The selected instrument remains the primary focus, with the live price first, followed by eight-timeframe Price Action and four-timeframe Participation Activity, while the Cross-Market Radar stays an optional user-built watchlist. All 42 retained instruments use Biquote price/candle requests directly in the visitor browser. The live SignalR stream updates prices immediately as ticks arrive, with browser-direct REST used for initial candle history and reconciliation. WordPress does not proxy the live market feed. The core hours, holiday and alert engine never depends on a live feed.

Only completed candles count. For each timeframe, GradTraders takes the final closing price of the latest completed candle and compares it with the highest and lowest closing prices of the previous 10 completed candles. A new 10-candle closing high or low triggers VOLATILE for the entire next candle. Price movement inside the still-forming candle is ignored by the signal. Green marks a new 10-close high and red a new 10-close low; the signal is a market-attention prompt, not a recommendation.

Only completed candles count. The final activity total of the latest completed 1m, 5m, 15m or 30m candle is compared with the highest and lowest activity totals of the previous 10 completed candles in that timeframe. A strict new high triggers HIGH ACTIVITY and a strict new low triggers LOW ACTIVITY for the entire next candle. The Biquote value is tick activity, an activity proxy rather than centralized exchange volume.

Yes. Use a simple countdown timer, alert at the next 1-minute, 5-minute, 15-minute or 30-minute candle open, or alert before the next market-session event. A live countdown stays visible and repeating reminders can continue until you press Stop Alert.
