HFM / HotForex Review 2026: Is It A Good Global Forex And CFD Broker?
HFM, formerly widely known as HotForex, is the global MetaTrader route in the GradTraders broker bank. Its 8.5/10 GradTraders Rating reflects MT4, MT5, HFM WebTrader, the HFM App, 500+ international CFD instruments, varied account structures, copy trading and a recognised FCA-authorised group entity—balanced against heavy jurisdiction dependence, no cTrader or UK spread betting and a UK-facing route that is not currently presented as ordinary retail onboarding.

Quick Verdict: HFM Earns 8.5/10
HFM is a strong global MetaTrader broker for traders who understand that the account entity determines the real proposition. International routes combine MT4, MT5, HFM WebTrader, the HFM App, copy trading, multiple account types and broad forex/CFD coverage.
The main strength is flexibility across mainstream MetaTrader workflows. The main weakness is that global marketing cannot be carried across jurisdictions. International high-leverage or low-deposit claims are not ordinary UK retail conditions.
HFM’s FCA-authorised UK entity remains part of the group structure, but the current UK-facing site redirects to a route describing access for eligible counterparties and professional-per-se clients. HFM should therefore not be presented as a simple UK retail alternative to Pepperstone, IG or CMC Markets.
Strong for eligible users seeking MT4, MT5, mobile access and varied forex/CFD account structures.
Multiple accounts, HFM tools, copy trading and a broad international market menu.
The website, legal company, leverage and product menu must be checked together.
Level with XTB and FOREX.com overall, but designed for a different MetaTrader-led use case.

Why HFM Scores 8.5/10
The 8.5/10 score is the authoritative HFM rating in the GradTraders broker master table. It considers regulation, platform access, account choice, pricing, markets, funding, global availability and practical suitability. It is an editorially weighted rating rather than a simple arithmetic average.
| Scoring Area | Assessment | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Safety & Regulation | Strong group footprint | FCA, CySEC, FSCA, FSA and CMA references provide regulated group routes, but protection varies. |
| Platforms & Trading Tools | Strong MetaTrader coverage | MT4, MT5, WebTrader and the HFM App serve manual and automated traders. |
| Pricing & Account Choice | Flexible but regional | Cent, Zero, Pro and Premium structures can suit different users where available. |
| Market Coverage | Broad global CFD range | 500+ instruments cover most common forex and CFD requirements. |
| Global Active-Trader Fit | Good | Zero-style pricing, VPS-compatible MetaTrader and high-leverage routes attract international traders. |
| UK Retail Fit | Currently limited | The FCA entity exists, but ordinary UK retail onboarding is not clearly presented and spread betting is absent. |
| Overall GradTraders Rating | 8.5/10 | A credible global MetaTrader broker whose score depends on disciplined entity separation. |
Comparison context: HFM ranks level with XTB and FOREX.com at 8.5/10, above OANDA, Tickmill and Vantage at 8.4/10, but below FxPro at 8.8/10 and Pepperstone at 9.1/10.
Where HFM Fits In The GradTraders Broker Bank
HFM occupies the global MetaTrader category. It is most relevant to traders comparing MT4, MT5, variable-spread and Zero-style accounts across international jurisdictions.
It is not positioned as a UK spread-betting broker, a cTrader specialist or a conventional investment platform. The master table’s positive view is based on global breadth and an FCA-authorised group entity, not on treating every HFM website as interchangeable.
FxPro and Pepperstone are stronger UK platform comparisons. Tickmill is a cleaner cost-focused MetaTrader alternative. XM and Exness are natural global-search comparisons, but each has its own entity and leverage caveats.
My View On HFM / HotForex
I have not used HFM as my primary live account, so this review is research-led. I am not claiming direct execution, support, deposit or withdrawal evidence.
HFM can make sense for an eligible international trader who already understands MetaTrader and is deliberately choosing a particular group entity. The platform stack, demo, copy tools and account range create a credible global proposition.
It would not be my first recommendation for a typical UK retail reader. The current UK-facing route is not presented as normal retail onboarding, there is no spread betting in the master bank and global leverage claims are not transferable to UK conditions.
The 8.5/10 rating therefore reflects HFM’s complete global broker profile rather than a claim that it is the best route for my own active index-trading workflow.

Platform Ecosystem: MT4, MT5, HFM WebTrader And HFM App
HFM’s platform proposition is centred on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, browser-based HFM WebTrader and the HFM App. The exact login and market menu depend on the account and entity.
HFM WebTrader can provide browser access and synchronisation with supported MT4 or MT5 accounts. The HFM App adds account access, market monitoring, trading and copy functionality on mobile devices.
There is no native cTrader route in the GradTraders bank and no verified direct TradingView broker-panel integration. Traders who require either platform should compare FxPro, Pepperstone, IC Markets, FP Markets, Tickmill or Vantage.
MT4 & MT5
Desktop, web and mobile workflows with Expert Adviser and indicator support.
WebTrader & App
Browser and mobile access tied to eligible HFM trading accounts.
No cTrader Route
cTrader and direct TradingView users should compare other brokers first.
GradTraders Best Native Platform Choice: Plus500
United Kingdom
GradTraders does not promote broker services to UK customers unless the relevant UK entity is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Plus500UK Ltd (FRN 509909) is authorised and regulated by the FCA, and Plus500 is a firm we’re proud to partner with for our UK audience.
UK risk reminder: CFDs are leveraged products and can result in rapid losses. The provider-specific retail loss warning is displayed within the Plus500 banner above.

MT4, MT5, Expert Advisers And VPS Suitability
MT4 remains relevant for established forex strategies, custom indicators and Expert Advisers. MT5 adds more timeframes, technical tools, order types and access to asset classes that may not be available on MT4.
HFM’s platform comparison states that ETFs and DMA access are limited to MT5, WebTrader and the HFM App, while both MT4 and MT5 cover major forex and CFD categories.
Automated traders should verify symbol specifications, server location, historical data, execution policy, account currency and VPS latency. A strategy tested on one HFM entity or account should not be assumed to behave identically on another.
High leverage can amplify an automated strategy’s failure as quickly as its gains. Risk limits, emergency stops and forward testing remain essential.
HFM App, WebTrader And Mobile Trading
The HFM App is designed as a wider account-and-trading hub rather than a simple companion chart. Eligible users can access markets, account functions and copy-trading features through the app.
HFM WebTrader provides browser access without installing a desktop terminal. Supported trades, alerts and account history can synchronise across devices.
This integrated mobile approach is useful for monitoring positions and managing accounts, but serious automated strategies still depend on MetaTrader terminals or a stable hosted environment.
Mobile convenience should not encourage oversized or impulsive trades. Order type, margin, spread and overnight cost should be checked before confirming any position.
Account Types, Spreads, Commissions And Minimum Deposits
HFM’s international account menu can include Cent, Zero, Pro and Premium structures, plus specialist offers such as InfinityX in selected jurisdictions. Availability and names change by country.
Premium-style accounts generally use variable spreads without a separate forex commission. Zero-style accounts advertise raw or near-zero starting spreads with a commission. The broker’s current international material describes commissions starting from a low $3 per lot, but the exact charging basis must be checked on the account page.
Some international Cent and Zero routes advertise no minimum opening deposit. Funding methods can still impose their own minimum, and other accounts can require materially more capital.
Swap-free wording does not always mean every instrument can be held indefinitely without an alternative charge. Review the full account terms and instrument specifications.
Cost verdict: HFM offers useful account variety, but no single spread, minimum deposit or leverage figure describes the whole group.
Markets: Forex, Metals, Indices, Shares, Bonds, Crypto And ETFs
HFM’s current international market page advertises access to more than 500 CFD markets. Categories include forex, metals, energy, commodities, bonds, indices, shares, cryptocurrencies and ETFs where the legal entity and platform allow.
These are predominantly leveraged derivative exposures rather than ownership of the underlying share, bond, ETF or commodity. Financing, dividends and corporate actions follow the CFD terms.
MT4, MT5, WebTrader and the HFM App do not necessarily carry identical product lists. HFM states that ETFs and DMA are available only through MT5, WebTrader and the HFM App.
UK and European retail restrictions can remove products or reduce leverage compared with international pages.
Execution, Leverage, Margin And Entity Risk
HFM uses market-execution terminology across its account material. Actual fills can still include positive or negative slippage, spread expansion and partial liquidity during volatile markets.
International entities can advertise leverage up to 1:2000 or specialist unlimited-leverage structures. These figures are not ordinary UK retail conditions and can be restricted by account equity, instrument and jurisdiction.
European and UK retail leverage is constrained by regulation. Professional or international classification can alter leverage, compensation and negative-balance protections.
The master-bank view is not that higher leverage makes HFM better. HFM scores well because it offers a complete global MetaTrader proposition while clearly requiring entity checks.
Copy Trading, Demo Access And Trading Tools
HFM provides copy-trading routes for followers and strategy providers in eligible regions. Copy trading is also available through the HFM App.
Following another trader does not remove risk. Drawdown, leverage, concentration, trading history, fees and provider incentives should be reviewed before allocating funds.
The demo account is available for unlimited use and can start with up to $100,000 of virtual funds. It is useful for testing MT5, the HFM App and basic strategy behaviour.
HFM also provides tools such as economic calendars and position-size calculators. These support planning but cannot replace independent risk limits.
Practice verdict: HFM’s demo and copy tools strengthen the global proposition, but eligibility and live-account conditions must still be verified by entity.
Deposits, Withdrawals, Support And Account Reliability
HFM states that it does not charge fees on supported withdrawal requests. Banks and payment processors can still add transfer or conversion charges.
International deposit pages also advertise no HFM deposit fee, although minimum amounts and processing times vary by method. The funding account should be in the client’s own name.
Global support is advertised from shortly after the Sunday market open until shortly before Friday’s close, with separate trading-desk and customer-support contacts.
GradTraders has not independently tested HFM deposits, withdrawals or support through a live account. Operational reliability is assessed from current procedures, regulation and group scale rather than personal evidence.
FCA Regulation And The Current UK Availability Question
HF Markets (UK) Limited is an FCA-authorised firm under reference number 801701. The FCA has also published clone-firm warnings identifying the genuine company and official hfmarkets.co.uk domain.
However, the current UK-facing website redirects to the HF Markets Europe site, which states that it accepts only eligible counterparties and professional-per-se clients. That is not the same proposition as ordinary UK retail CFD onboarding.
The master table remains accurate in saying that an FCA route exists. The updated editorial conclusion is that UK retail availability must not be assumed merely because the FCA entity exists.
There is no HFM UK spread-betting route in the GradTraders bank. UK retail readers should compare Pepperstone, IG, CMC Markets, FxPro, OANDA or FOREX.com when domestic retail access and spread betting are central.
UK verdict: HFM’s 8.5/10 rating is principally a global MetaTrader assessment. The current UK-facing route requires direct eligibility verification before HFM can be treated as available.

Final Verdict: HFM Earns 8.5/10
HFM is a credible global MetaTrader broker for eligible traders who understand entity selection. MT4, MT5, HFM WebTrader, the HFM App, 500+ international instruments, copy tools, multiple accounts and an unlimited demo justify its master-bank position.
The main compromise is jurisdictional clarity. High leverage, no-minimum-deposit accounts and broad products belong to selected international routes. They should not be presented as UK retail conditions.
The 8.5/10 rating places HFM level with XTB and FOREX.com, above OANDA, Tickmill and Vantage, and below FxPro and Pepperstone.
GradTraders verdict: choose HFM when eligible global MetaTrader access and account variety matter. Choose a clearer domestic broker when UK retail onboarding, spread betting or platform portability matters more.
