GradTraders Legal & Editorial Framework

Legal, Editorial, Risk & International Use Notice

This page explains what GradTraders is, what it is not, how its editorial research, commercial relationships, live trading, trading records and international gateway content should be understood, and the responsibilities that remain with readers when using the site.

Last updated: 10 September 2026 Applies across gradtraders.com, GradTraders emails and associated public media Read together with page-specific disclosures and provider terms

Important: GradTraders is an independent trading education, research, comparison and media publication. Content is general and impersonal. It is not personalised financial, investment, legal or tax advice and is not a personal recommendation based on your circumstances.

Trading risk: CFDs, spread betting, forex, futures, options, crypto-related derivatives and other leveraged products can result in substantial or rapid losses. Prop-firm challenge or evaluation fees can also be lost if programme rules are breached or a provider fails to perform as expected.

Page-level rules still matter: This central notice does not replace any disclosure, approval, risk warning, eligibility restriction or other notice that applicable law or a provider requires to appear with a particular product, promotion, service or jurisdiction.

1. What GradTraders Is — And What It Is Not

GradTraders is a UK-based, trader-led trading education, research, comparison and media publication written and built by Matthew Jackson. It publishes independent editorial content about brokers, proprietary trading firms, trading platforms, software, trading tools, market structure, trading risk and live market analysis.

GradTraders is not itself a broker, securities exchange, trading venue, proprietary trading firm, custodian, fund manager, portfolio manager or trade-execution service. GradTraders does not accept client deposits, hold client assets, execute trades for readers, operate reader accounts or manage portfolios on behalf of readers.

GradTraders does not provide a personalised suitability assessment. Words such as best, top, preferred, strongest, suitable, shortlist or similar comparative language describe an editorial assessment within the stated research context. They do not mean that a broker, prop firm, platform, product or strategy is suitable for every reader.

No article, table, score, video, livestream, tool, email, social-media post or partner link creates an adviser-client, broker-client, fiduciary, managed-account or portfolio-management relationship between GradTraders and a reader.

2. Editorial Standards, Research & Corrections

GradTraders aims to distinguish clearly between verified facts, provider claims, third-party evidence, direct experience, estimates and editorial judgement. Reviews and comparisons may draw on official provider documents, regulator registers, platform information, public review signals, direct trading or platform experience and GradTraders’ own broker and prop-firm research banks.

Editorial judgement

Scores, rankings, verdicts and suitability labels are GradTraders editorial opinions at the time of publication. They can change when regulation, legal entities, pricing, platform access, programme rules, direct experience or other evidence changes.

Evidence limits

Public reviews, forums and community comments are treated as sentiment or pattern evidence, not as proof that every allegation or positive claim is true. Provider marketing is not treated as independent verification merely because it is published by the provider.

Direct experience

Where GradTraders has directly used, funded, traded or tested a service, the relevant page may say so. Where direct experience is absent, the assessment is based on the evidence identified in the content rather than implied hands-on testing.

Corrections

Trading products and provider terms change quickly. GradTraders may update, correct, expand or withdraw content when better evidence becomes available. Readers can report a factual concern using the contact details at the end of this page.

Editorial standards and the background to the site are also explained on the About GradTraders page.

3. Commercial Relationships, Affiliate Links & Financial Promotions

Some GradTraders pages contain affiliate links, partner links, discount codes, banners or other commercial routes. GradTraders may receive a commission, referral payment or other commercial benefit when an eligible visitor clicks, signs up, opens an account, purchases a challenge, subscribes to a service or completes another qualifying action.

A commercial relationship does not guarantee inclusion, a particular ranking, a positive score or the removal of criticism. Providers without a commercial relationship may rank above partners where the editorial evidence supports that outcome. A discount or promotional code changes price or access only to the extent shown by the provider’s live checkout and terms.

GradTraders uses page-level commercial disclosures close to relevant commercial content. If GradTraders publishes sponsored or paid-for content, it will be identified as such. This central legal notice does not substitute for a disclosure that needs to appear with the relevant recommendation, endorsement, advertisement or link.

The fact that GradTraders is a media and research publication does not by itself determine whether a particular communication is legally a financial promotion, advertisement or investment recommendation. That depends on the substance of the communication and the law that applies. Any mandatory page-level approval, risk warning, targeting restriction or disclosure applies in addition to this notice.

Any brokerage, prop-firm, software, data or financial-services contract reached through a GradTraders link is entered into with the relevant third-party provider, not with GradTraders. The provider’s legal entity, account agreement, eligibility rules, risk disclosures, pricing and terms govern that relationship.

4. Broker Reviews, Rankings & Account-Entity Checks

A broker brand can operate through different legal entities in different countries. Regulation, leverage, negative-balance protection, compensation arrangements, product access, tax treatment, platform availability, funding methods and client classification can change depending on the entity that actually opens the account.

A broker appearing in a GradTraders table or article is not a guarantee that the broker accepts clients in your country or that the specific product discussed is available to you. Readers should verify the exact legal entity, regulator, licence or registration, account type and client agreement before depositing money or trading.

  • Do not assume a global or offshore entity provides the same protections as a domestic regulated entity.
  • Do not assume a provider-specific retail-loss warning, leverage limit or compensation arrangement applies to every entity in the same group.
  • Do not treat regulator references or links as regulator approval or endorsement of GradTraders.
  • Where a page carries a provider-specific mandatory risk warning, readers must read that warning together with this central notice.

5. Proprietary Trading Firms, Challenges & Funded-Style Accounts

Prop-firm programmes are not all structured in the same way. Evaluation accounts, instant-funded-style accounts, simulated funded accounts, futures evaluation programmes and other models can use different legal and commercial structures.

Terms such as funded, funded account, account size, capital, profit split or payout should be read in the context of the provider’s own contract. They do not necessarily mean that the trader owns, controls or has deposited the stated account value, or that the arrangement carries the protections associated with a regulated brokerage account.

  • Challenge and evaluation fees can be lost.
  • Daily-loss, maximum-drawdown, consistency, news, holding, copy-trading, automation and prohibited-strategy rules can change by programme.
  • Passing an evaluation does not guarantee a future payout, continuing account access or future profitability.
  • A prop firm’s commercial success, longevity or payout history does not remove counterparty, contractual or operational risk.
  • Readers should verify current programme terms, legal entity, country eligibility and payment/refund rules before purchase.

Unless a provider is expressly identified as regulated for a particular activity and jurisdiction, readers should not assume that a prop firm has the same regulatory status, client-money protections or compensation arrangements as a regulated broker.

6. Live Trading, Livestreams, Replays, Shorts & Social Media

GradTraders publishes live market analysis, trading commentary, livestreams, replays, Shorts and other video or social-media content. This material is designed for education, documentation and media purposes. It is not a trade-signal service and should not be copied as an instruction to enter, hold, modify or close a position.

Content may show simulated trading, live-money trading, demo environments, chart analysis or a combination of these. GradTraders identifies the trading context where it is material. Where a GradTraders challenge is expressly labelled as using simulated funds, those simulated funds are not client deposits and the displayed result is not presented as live-money performance.

Livestreams and replays have practical limitations. Broadcast delay, platform latency, spreads, slippage, liquidity, order type, account entity, leverage, connection quality and execution can cause another trader to receive a materially different result even if they attempt the same trade.

Short-form clips and edited excerpts compress context. A Short, screenshot or isolated trade should not be treated as a complete record of a strategy, risk process or trading session.

7. Trading Record, Simulated Results & Past Performance

GradTraders may publish trading records, account screenshots, challenge results, charts, statistics or other performance-related material as part of its transparency and educational work. Unless a specific record expressly states that it has been independently audited or verified by a named third party, readers should not assume that it has been independently audited.

Historical performance is not a promise, forecast or reliable indicator of future results. A result achieved by Matthew Jackson, GradTraders or any third party is not representative of what another trader is likely to achieve.

Simulated, hypothetical, paper-trading, demo or back-tested results have additional limitations because they do not reproduce every aspect of live financial risk, execution, liquidity, slippage, financing, emotional pressure or account behaviour.

Where performance is discussed, readers should consider the stated time period, whether the account is simulated or live, the effect of deposits and withdrawals, trading costs, financing, leverage and any methodological limitations shown with the record.

8. International Gateways & Cross-Border Use

GradTraders is international in readership and currently maintains 20 country or territory gateways. These gateways provide local trading-session context, terminology, regulator/entity-check routes and links into the wider GradTraders research site.

A country or territory gateway is an editorial and localisation route. It does not, by itself, create or imply a GradTraders branch, office, regulated financial-services establishment, licence or authorisation in that jurisdiction. It also does not mean that every broker, prop firm, platform, product, leverage level, promotion or partner link mentioned elsewhere on GradTraders is available or lawful for every reader in that location.

Local law and availability

Financial advertising, investment-recommendation rules, affiliate disclosures, consumer protection, privacy, tax and financial-services licensing can differ materially between jurisdictions. Readers should use the relevant local regulator register and the provider’s current legal documents to verify eligibility and regulatory status.

Do not attempt to bypass a provider’s geographic, client-classification, age, product or regulatory restrictions. If a provider redirects you to a different legal entity or website during onboarding, re-check the regulator, protections, products and terms for that entity before proceeding.

Translations and localised content

GradTraders may provide local-language or localised text, subtitles and terminology to improve accessibility. Translated or summarised provider terms are informational. Where there is any inconsistency, readers should rely on the provider’s current official legal documents and the relevant regulator’s official information for the account or product they are considering.

Mandatory local law always prevails. Nothing in this notice is intended to waive a rule that applies to GradTraders, a provider, a promotion or a reader in a particular jurisdiction.

9. Market Commentary, Positions & Conflicts Of Interest

GradTraders may discuss specific markets, instruments, setups, brokers, platforms or trading ideas while Matthew Jackson has a personal interest in, position in or experience with the subject being discussed. A personal trading position can create a conflict of interest and should not be interpreted as a reason for another person to take the same position.

Market commentary reflects the author’s view at the relevant time and can change quickly. Unless a specific publication or applicable rule requires an update, readers should not assume that a personal position, market view or trading plan remains current after publication.

Facts should be distinguished from opinions, estimates and interpretation. Where a specific publication constitutes an investment recommendation under applicable law, any additional conflict, identity, timing, methodology or other disclosure required for that publication applies in addition to this central notice.

10. Trading Tools, Calculators, Market Data & External Services

GradTraders may provide calculators, comparison tables, offer finders, market widgets, charts, embedded video and links to third-party platforms or data sources. These tools are provided for research and educational use and do not constitute a personalised recommendation or guarantee of an outcome.

Market prices, quotes, product information, ratings, spreads, commissions, leverage, account terms, challenge rules, discounts and availability can change and may be delayed, incomplete or different from the terms shown to a particular user.

External links are provided for convenience, source checking or access to a provider. GradTraders does not control the availability, security, privacy practices or continuing accuracy of third-party websites. A link does not mean GradTraders owns the linked service or that the third party endorses GradTraders.

11. Reader Responsibility, Eligibility & Tax

Readers remain responsible for deciding whether they understand and can afford the risks of any trading or investing activity. GradTraders does not know a reader’s income, assets, debts, tax position, experience, objectives, knowledge or tolerance for loss.

The site is intended for adults researching financial markets and trading-related services. Providers can impose their own age, residency, experience, appropriateness, professional-client or other eligibility requirements.

Tax references are general information only. Terms such as tax-free, tax-efficient, deductible or similar expressions can depend on jurisdiction, product structure, individual circumstances and future law. Readers should obtain qualified tax or legal advice where needed.

Make your own decision Do not rely on a score, video, livestream, ranking, screenshot or another trader’s result as a substitute for your own assessment.

12. Intellectual Property, Republishing & Third-Party Rights

Unless otherwise stated, original GradTraders written content, editorial scoring systems, comparison structures, graphics, research presentation, video, trading-record presentation and site branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

You may link to GradTraders and make reasonable quotations where permitted by law and properly attributed. Except where applicable law permits otherwise or written permission has been given, substantial copying, mirroring, bulk extraction, commercial republication, resale, systematic scraping, creation of a substitute database, or automated extraction of substantial GradTraders content for commercial dataset or model-training use is not permitted.

Broker, prop-firm, platform, regulator and other third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on GradTraders does not imply ownership, sponsorship, approval or endorsement unless a relationship is expressly stated.

13. Accuracy, Availability, Liability & Non-Excludable Rights

GradTraders makes reasonable efforts to keep important editorial information accurate and current, but financial products, laws, provider terms and market conditions can change without notice. No website can guarantee that every item of third-party information remains complete, current or error-free at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GradTraders is not responsible for trading or investment losses, lost challenge or evaluation fees, missed profits, provider insolvency, account suspension, failed or delayed withdrawals, changes in third-party terms, data delays, service outages or decisions made by a reader in reliance on general site content.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing removes any mandatory consumer, advertising, financial-services, privacy or other legal obligation that applies to GradTraders. Nothing in this notice excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or, where applicable law prevents it, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Privacy, Cookies & Data

GradTraders’ handling of personal data and website storage technologies is explained separately. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling, while the Cookie Policy explains cookies, consent controls and the site’s current Complianz cookie/service inventory.

Third-party websites and services reached through GradTraders operate under their own privacy, cookie and data-processing terms.

15. How This Notice Works With Other Disclosures

This page is the central GradTraders legal and editorial framework. It should be read together with more specific information shown elsewhere on the site.

  • Page-level GradTraders disclosures supplement this notice where a particular broker, prop firm, partner offer, risk warning, live-trading environment or conflict needs more specific explanation.
  • Provider terms and risk documents govern the reader’s contractual relationship with that provider.
  • Mandatory local law prevails over any inconsistent wording on GradTraders or in a third-party summary.
  • Provider-specific regulatory warnings remain applicable and are not replaced or diluted by this general notice.
